Company Profile:

Ocuco Limited is a leading software solutions provider in the eyecare industry, dedicated to helping eyecare professionals streamline their operations and provide exceptional patient care. With a global presence and a focus on innovation, Ocuco has built a reputation for delivering cutting-edge technology and outstanding customer service.

Job Description:

The Senior Project Manager leads Enterprise Project Delivery end-to-end. Working from the Statement of Work, the role manages iterative SDLC cycles with the customer through to warranty close, owning scope, schedule, change control, customer relationship and Ocuco margin.

The role is also accountable for internal projects that require delivery oversight: capturing the business case, tracking progress against goals, and supporting ROI/ value realisation feasibility throughout. Where complexity is bounded, a Senior Project Manager may lead a small Enterprise Program instead of a Program Manager.

Reporting to the PMO Director, this role is based in Ocuco’s HQ and operates on a hybrid working model (3 days per week in the office).

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Project Delivery (SOW to Warranty)

  • Build and run the project plan across all SDLC phases, including discovery, design, build, test, release, and warranty
  • Manage iterative cycles with the customer, keeping them continuously close to delivered increments
  • Own the customer relationship through the entire engagement; reset expectations honestly when scope or schedule shifts
  • Manage the warranty handover so the customer is set up for steady-state success without surprises

Scope, Change Control & Commercial Discipline

  • Maintain the SOW baseline; proactively manage scope changes
  • Run the change-control process; produce full impact analyses (commercial, schedule, risk) before customer agreement
  • Balance customer outcomes with sound commercial management
  • Coordinate with Sales and Commercial on change orders and scoping for follow-on work

Internal Project Delivery & Value Realisation

  • Support the business case for internal initiatives: cost, benefit, payback, key assumptions, and keep it live as facts change with the product
  • Track progress against goals; surface when ROI feasibility is degrading and adjust
  • Report outcomes back to sponsors, not just outputs - was the change worth doing?

Risk, Issues & Stakeholders

  • Own the risk register at the project level, including commercial, customer-relationship and SDLC risks
  • Drive issue resolution across customer and internal teams; manage customer expectations clearly when scope or schedule is at risk
  • Align Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture and Operations around the plan; broker compromises that protect customer outcomes and Ocuco margin simultaneously

Governance & Reporting

  • Design and run project governance, including steering cadence, decision forums, status reporting, calibrated to project size
  • Establish the project-level Communication Plan: sponsors, customer counterparts, internal functions, cadence and format
  • Mentor Project Managers in adjacent pods; bring practices and lessons across pods

What Good Looks Like:

  • Customer relationships remain strong during challenging phases of delivery
  • Project margin is protected; change requests are fair and predictable, not contentious
  • Internal projects ship outcomes, not just outputs; sponsors get a benefits report at closeout
  • Tough customer conversations are handled with appropriate autonomy and escalation judgment
  • Project plan reflects reality; iterations are tight, and customer engagement is healthy

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5 - 9 years delivering software / digital projects, including ownership of customer SOW commitments
  • Demonstrated experience managing scope, change control and commercial aspects of project delivery
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills, including engagement with senior stakeholders and sponsors
  • Comfortable building business cases, modelling cost/benefit and tracking realisation
  • Experience across the full SDLC, including warranty phases
  • Working knowledge of agile, hybrid and waterfall delivery, with the judgement to apply the most appropriate approach
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable curiosity about AI-assisted software delivery and its impact on planning, estimation, QA, documentation, release management and team workflows
  • Comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity, reporting, risk tracking and stakeholder communication
  • Ability to support teams adapting delivery practices to AI-assisted coding, automated testing, agentic workflows and accelerated delivery cycles
  • Ability to use evidence and delivery metrics to assess the impact of AI adoption on quality, predictability and throughput
  • Understanding of how AI-assisted delivery may impact project economics, estimation, change control and customer expectations, with the ability to manage those implications responsibly
  • Strong problem-solving and management capabilities
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Confidence and experience in customer-facing interactions
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools, including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Willingness to travel
  • Experience delivering e-Commerce and omnichannel software projects would be advantageous, particularly solutions supporting both in-store users and end-customer/patient digital experiences
  • PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification a plus
