Overview
The role is responsible for second level support for any escalated people related system enquiries received from the HR Operations team.  The role is to provide technical support, including the investigation and resolution of technical issues for all people related systems / applications.  The role is to collaborate with the broader HR team and the business to ensure effective communication and timely resolutions are being provided to identified issues whilst providing effective performance support to minimise any downtime to the business on incidents. The role will form part of the global HR Systems team and collaboratively contribute to the efficient provision of HR systems and payroll services for the Group.

 
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities
  • Be the internal subject matter expert across all people related systems and representative from a HR systems perspective in relation to HR system queries from management, employees, and external agencies as required
  • Support the identification and coordination of internal policy changes and procedures that affect people related systems
  • Drive for continuous improvement in people related systems, processes, and integration
  • Provision of second line functional system support and advice / guidance on people related systems and applications to the HR team and the business 
  • Collaborate with the HR Systems and Payroll teams on general system maintenance issues / tasks including defect management, system improvements, and user acceptance testing for people related systems changes and updates
  • Analyse and maintain all people related system access, ensuring appropriate controls are in place
  • Ensure relevant documentation is available for all people related systems / application processes and procedures
  • Assist on HR system projects where required e.g. system upgrades, large scale people and/or terms and conditions changes projects
  • Support the HR Systems manager with other adhoc duties as required
  • Develop documentation, training material and end user training guides to educate the broader HR team and business on how to use people related systems, tools and technologies
  • Communicate and educate the broader HR team and business on any changes being made to people related systems and its impacts
  • Ensure adherence to HR and payroll related legal and regulatory requirements
  • Support programs that deliver effective risk management and compliance practices for HR system services
  • Complete people related systems processes reconciliation, checks, and balances to ensure the smooth running of all people related systems
Experience & Personal Attributes
  • Experience in working with HR systems, preferably in a multinational environment;
  • A sound understanding of HR processes i.e. terms & conditions changes, absence, new starters, terminations, movements
  • Experience in implementing and improving HR processes at an intermediate level
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills;
  • Strong PC and Microsoft package skills in particular Excel;
  • Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with people
  • A track record in and/or proven ability to be accountable for end-to-end process, diligence and high quality work
  • A service oriented mindset, with high level of resilience and determination to achieve high quality work  
  • Personal commitment to and visible role modelling of the organisation's behaviours and values
  • Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud and other cloud based HRIS desirable
  • Relevant Business / Finance / Human Resources tertiary qualifications or relevant payroll professional qualifications are desirable
  • Knowledge and experience of system testing procedures desirable
