Position Description:
As a scriptwriter at Ubisoft Montreal, you will help shape the narrative heart of the game by creating stories, characters, and dialogues that support the creative vision and gameplay experience. You will work closely with narrative, design, and production teams to ensure coherence, quality, and seamless integration of narrative content into the game.
What you’ll do:
- Translate the Creative Director’s vision into clear and engaging narrative content
- Write scripts to serve as a common reference for multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborate with the Narrative Designer to align narrative structure and gameplay structure
- Create detailed character descriptions
- Develop, with narrative designers, location descriptions and the game’s atmosphere
- Write scripts for cinematics, scripted events, and gameplay sequences
- Draft narrative texts such as missions, loading screens, and in-game documents
- Keep narrative documentation up to date throughout the project
- Collaborate with production teams to oversee the integration of narrative content
