Job Title:    Analyst / Senior Analyst - MIS 

Department: Human Resources  

Location: Indore 

Reports to: Manager, Human Resources 

 

JOB SUMMARY 

 

The incumbent will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing data to support various business functions, including human resources. The incumbent will combine technical expertise with analytical skills to help the organization make data-driven decisions. This role requires proficiency in managing and maintaining Management Information Systems (MIS) and generating meaningful reports including but not limited to performs descriptive analysis, aggregations, variance analysis, KPI calculations, trend monitoring; rarely builds advanced predictive models unless role expands. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Collecting and consolidating data and ensuring data accuracy and consistency. 

  • Create, maintain, and analyze daily/ weekly/ monthly and other periodic and ad-hoc reports to provide insights. 

  • Oversee MIS infrastructure, including databases (SQL), MS Excel, and software tools, ensuring data integrity.  

  • Troubleshooting technical and system issues and coordinating with IT teams for system upgrades, for timely reporting 

  • Ensuring seamless integration of MIS with other organizational systems.  

  • Work with various departments to understand data needs, designing tailored dashboards and automated reporting solutions. 

  • Ensuring the privacy of all departments, employees and company records 

  • Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data from breaches or unauthorized access.  

  • Regularly auditing systems to identify and mitigate potential risks.  

  • Presenting complex data in a clear, concise manner to stakeholders and senior management.  

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE 

  

Education – Bachelor’s degree in any field 

Work Experience - Minimum 3 years of relevant MIS or data management and analysis experience. 

  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Macros, Advanced Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Power Query for automation, Data Validation).  

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, DAX, Data Modelling, Interactive KPI Scorecards and Trend Analysis 

  • Experience in MIS reporting, Data Analysis and Interpretation, Dashboard Development, KPI and Performance Tracking, Reporting Automation, Data Validation, and Ad Hoc / Periodic Reporting  

  • Ability to develop and maintain dashboards for management.  

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing complex calculation data. 

  • Good organizational and time management skills to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities. 

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. 

  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
