Medical Data Frontend Engineer (React/JavaScript)

This is a remote position.<\/p>

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced <\/span>Senior Frontend Engineer<\/span><\/b> to join our pharmaceutical client’s engineering team, which is dedicated to accelerating drug discovery within Research Labs. This role focuses on building sophisticated Single Page Application (SPA) dashboards and visualization services crucial for the management, exploration, and analysis of massive scientific datasets. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of JavaScript and the React ecosystem, and will thrive in a complex, data\-intensive environment.

Key Responsibilities<\/span>
<\/span><\/h3>

• Develop and Optimize:<\/span><\/b> Design, implement, and maintain high\-performance, responsive user interfaces using <\/span>React.js<\/span><\/b> and <\/span>JavaScript<\/span><\/b> for data analytics and visualization workflows.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/p><\/li>

• Data Visualization:<\/span><\/b> Build custom, interactive components to visualize petabytes of multi\-omics, chemistry, and imaging data, making complex information accessible and actionable for scientists.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/p><\/li>

• API Integration:<\/span><\/b> Seamlessly integrate frontend applications with distributed micro\-service architectures and data retrieval services, potentially leveraging light backend skills in <\/span>Python<\/span><\/b> for API mocking or tooling.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/p><\/li>

• Code Quality & Best Practices:<\/span><\/b> Ensure the codebase is clean, well\-tested, maintainable, and adheres to modern web development and software engineering best practices, including agile methodologies.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/p><\/li>

• Collaboration:<\/span><\/b> Work closely with data engineers, bioinformatics experts, and scientists to translate ambiguous requirements into pragmatic, optimal frontend solutions.<\/span>

• Security & Compliance:<\/span><\/b> Implement and adhere to industry\-specific regulatory compliant data integrity, auditing, and security access controls within the application interface.<\/span>

  Requirements<\/h3>

  Total Industry Experience: <\/b>5+ years in software development.
  <\/div>

  Relevant Experience:<\/b> 3+ years focused specifically on frontend development in healthcare, pharma or research.
  <\/div>

  • Expert proficiency in React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Proven experience building and deploying complex, data\-driven Single Page Applications (SPAs).
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Strong knowledge of state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX, or Context API).
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Familiarity with consuming RESTful and\/or GraphQL APIs.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Experience with build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite) and module bundlers.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Bonus: Basic understanding of Python or exposure to backend concepts.
