Low Loader/Crane Truck Operator | 9 day fortnight | Brisbane, Australia

The Details:

• Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
• $74,847 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + 12% super (level 6)
• 76 hour fortnight
• Location: Caboolture

Join our Fleet team and operate a range of trucks to support the safe and efficient transport of Council plant and machinery. This role plays an essential part in ensuring equipment is delivered to worksites on time and in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of trucks, including low loaders, tilt trays and flatbed crane trucks (9.9‑tonne/metre crane)
• Safely load, restrain and transport a wide range of plant and machinery such as graders, rollers, excavators, drotts, front end loaders, tractors, trucks, light vehicles, site sheds and shipping containers
• Engage professionally with diverse internal and external stakeholders to coordinate movements and support operational needs
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and perform basic maintenance on trucks and associated equipment where required
• Promptly report machinery defects, safety hazards or any concerns related to equipment condition or performance

About you

Ideally, you’ll bring experience operating similar vehicles and equipment, along with hands on experience performing comparable tasks. A strong understanding of safe load restraint practices and sound communication skills will help you succeed in this role.

Mandatory Requirements

• HC Class Driver’s Licence (minimum)
• Construction Induction Card (or willingness to obtain before starting)
