Role & Responsibilities

  • Partner with factory leadership to align HR strategy with S&E (Safety & Engineering) licensing objectives, compliance deadlines, and operational KPIs.
  • Lead workforce planning, talent deployment, and succession for licensed engineering and safety roles — ensuring zero compliance gaps across shifts, sites, and certifications.
  • Drive adoption of digital license tracking systems, audit readiness, and certification renewal workflows — interfacing with legal, EHS, and operations teams.
  • Coach line managers on performance management, incident response protocols, and culture-building in unionized or high-regulation shop-floor settings.
  • Design and deliver workforce analytics dashboards focused on license coverage, competency gaps, attrition risk, and training ROI for factory leadership.
  • Act as primary liaison for labor law compliance, collective bargaining support (where applicable), and workforce health & safety audits tied to engineering licenses.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must-Have
  • HRIS (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM)
  • Labor law compliance (India – Factories Act, Contract Labour Act, ESI, PF)
  • Safety & Engineering license frameworks (OSHA, ISO 45001, factory-specific licensing)
  • Workforce analytics & HR metrics (turnover, coverage ratios, training completion)
  • Union relations & collective bargaining support
  • Performance management systems (appraisal cycles, calibration, PIPs)
  • Change management in manufacturing environments
  • Factory operations awareness (shift management, downtime impact, safety culture)
  • Preferred
  • Experience with EHS management systems (Enablon, Intelex)
  • Certifications: SHRM-SCP, CIPD, CIHRM
  • Knowledge of MES or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle EAM)
