We are looking for an CDL – Class A to join our WT Burnett – West team in Phoenix, AZ!

JOB SUMMARY

The CDL Class A is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to customers using Class A vehicles and box trucks within the state of Arizona. This role is an integral part of the Shipping team and requires active participation in loading, unloading, staging, and supporting daily shipping and warehouse operations. This position is not limited to driving responsibilities and requires a hands-on, team-oriented approach to meet operational and customer needs.

JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Actively load and unload cargo, ensuring the safety, accuracy, and integrity of all goods.
• Work alongside the Shipping team to support daily warehouse and shipping operations; drivers are expected to remain engaged on-site and assist when not actively driving.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, refuel vehicles, maintain cleanliness, and promptly report any mechanical or safety issues to maintenance or supervision.
• Immediately report accidents, incidents, delays, or unsafe conditions to the Logistics Supervisor or dispatcher.
• Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery documentation, and cargo records in compliance with DOT and ELD requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to meet customer expectations and operational schedules.
• Maintain professionalism and positive communication during all internal and customer interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.

• Adherence to safety guidelines, DOT regulations, company policies
• Accuracy of delivery documentation, cargo handling, and logs
• Timeliness and reliability of deliveries and assigned tasks
• Team participation and support of shipping operations 
• Customer satisfaction and professionalism 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience, including box truck or pup truck operations
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate/Card
• Clean MVR report for the last 3 years
• Ability and willingness to operate both Class A vehicles and Box Trucks as assigned 
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Driving in various traffic and weather conditions
• Loading and unloading goods of varying sizes and weights
• Predominantly outdoor work in various weather conditions
• This position is physically demanding and involves working in a production environment 
• Uneven surfaces, up and down ramps, stairs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50–75 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, and twist throughout the shift
• Ability to climb in and out of trucks and trailers multiple times per day
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided as applicable)
• Ability to maintain a consistent state of alertness and work safely at all times
