About the Role
ITC Limited is looking for an Assistant Manager – HR to support and drive HR and Industrial Relations initiatives at its manufacturing facility in Hosur. The role involves managing factory HR operations, employee relations, union interactions, recruitment, training & development, and statutory compliance while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and strengthen Industrial Relations (IR) practices to maintain a positive and harmonious work environment.
- Handle day-to-day interactions with union representatives, address grievances, and assist in negotiations when required.
- Ensure implementation of HR policies, factory standing orders, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Drive recruitment activities, manpower planning, and talent acquisition for factory operations.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction programs for new employees.
- Identify training needs and design learning & development initiatives to enhance employee capability.
- Manage training calendars, vendor relationships, training databases, and effectiveness assessments.
- Support performance management, employee engagement, and organizational development initiatives.
- Assist in wage and salary administration, budgeting, and disciplinary proceedings.
- Collaborate with functional teams to provide HR support and facilitate business objectives.
Desired Candidate Profile
- PG Degree/Diploma in Human Resource Management, Personnel Management, Labour Welfare, or Industrial Relations.
- Degree in Law will be an added advantage.
- 3–4 years of experience in Factory HR, Industrial Relations, and Union Management.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, disciplinary procedures, standing orders, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in recruitment, manpower planning, compensation fitment, and employee development.
- Good exposure to training and development interventions.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in Tamil is preferred.
