Position Description: The Rainbow Six Siege Anti-Cheat team is a multidisciplinary group dedicated to protecting the competitive integrity of Rainbow Six Siege and maintaining a high level of fairness and trust in one of the world’s most renowned tactical shooters.
As an R6 Anti-Cheat Analyst, you will play a key role in hands-on understanding of cheating behaviors in Rainbow Six Siege. You will analyze gameplay sequences and community-shared content to identify suspicious behaviors and translate these observations into actionable insights using game telemetry and player data.
You will examine how cheaters behave moment-to-moment and link these behaviors to patterns, distributions, and anomalies in the data. Collaborating closely with Anti-Cheat developers, security analysts, and production teams, you will contribute to investigations, detections, and long-term anti-cheat strategies, while providing clear, evidence-based analyses to support operational decisions.
Responsibilities: - Analyze gameplay sequences (recorded matches, live streams, community videos, internal captures) to identify cheating behaviors, patterns, and indicators in Rainbow Six Siege. - Develop an in-depth understanding of how cheaters play moment-to-moment: movements, aiming, decision-making, timing, and interactions with game systems. - Translate qualitative gameplay observations into testable hypotheses using game telemetry and player data. - Explore and analyze data to statistically characterize cheating: distributions, baselines, anomalies, and aberrant behaviors. - Correlate observed techniques with in-game metrics to inform detections, investigations, and long-term anti-cheat strategies. - Monitor cheating trends through public content (videos, live streams, forums, communities) to anticipate emerging techniques. - Collaborate with Anti-Cheat programmers, data scientists, and game teams to share analyses, validate hypotheses, and refine priorities. - Support operational investigations and case analysis, particularly during escalations involving Player Support, Esports, Legal, or other stakeholders. - Communicate results through reports, dashboards, and presentations to help teams understand risks, patterns, and the impact of cheating on game integrity.
Qualifications: What You Bring: - Experience in an operational environment related to game integrity, trust & safety, fraud prevention, security operations, or a similar analytical role. - Excellent observation and analytical skills, with the ability to identify subtle behaviors. - Experience analyzing large or complex datasets. - Proficiency in querying and analyzing data (SQL or equivalent tool). - Ability to reason in terms of distributions, baselines, and anomalies beyond predefined rules. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex behaviors to non-experts. - Willingness to learn internal tools, workflows, and game-specific systems.
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with cheating in competitive multiplayer games (techniques, motivations, ecosystem). - Experience in large-scale gameplay observation, analysis, or review (QA, competitive analysis, coaching, moderation, content review). - Knowledge of applied statistical concepts (descriptive statistics, correlation, regression, A/B testing). - Experience with data formats such as JSON, CSV, etc. - Knowledge of Rainbow Six Siege or other tactical FPS games.
